TAILOR-MADE & TENTED
We offer a variety of other specialised safaris
In addition to choosing your category (luxury glamping, traditional camping or participatory camping), it is vital to decide what time of year to travel. The summer months (November to March) are generally the best time for those seeking to view the birthing of many animals within an abundant setting, or for birding enthusiasts.
For photographers who enjoy spectacular cloud formations and the chance of seeing the longest zebra migration in the world, the Green Season is the time to go (December to February). It is not only less crowded but also an opportunity for birding as the migratory birds start arriving.
Special birding safaris can be arranged on short notice if there is a special birding event.
For those seeking drier landscapes and teeming herds around limited water resources, we would advise that you book your trip in the Botswana winter months (April to September), but avoid October as it is the hottest and driest month.
However, we suggest we plan with you as water levels and rainfall varies from year to year, causing a shift in migratory patterns (rain-dependent).
We recommend:
- Ultimate Botswana Safari: a 12 night/13-day trip covering the desert and delta regions of Botswana.
- If you are short on time, choose either the Khwai/Moremi area or Chobe/Savute/Linyanti, depending on the season. We think six nights and seven days is ideal, but you can also plan a four-night/five-day trip with us.
- If you would like to combine Desert and Delta in a week, we recommend Nxai Pan or Makgadikgadi for three nights, and a fly-in safari to Khwai/Moremi area for four nights.
- If you would like to include Victoria Falls in your itinerary, we suggest you combine it with the northern Botswana reserves of Chobe, Savute or Linyanti.
We can assist in arranging a tailor-made safari to any area in Botswana. These safaris need to be a minimum of 7 nights and six guests.
