Semunyeni does have a satelite phone on Safari to use in case of emergencies. For any Personal or recreational usage $10 per unit is charged.

Semunyeni Safaris recommends SA Airlink or Air Botswana flights arriving in Maun around 13:30 where you will catch a connecting flight to the camp. Arrangements must be made with your travel agent should you wish to visit Maun for a few days before your safari where we will fetch you from your lodge and transport you to the airport for your flight to camp.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

In order to assist with the true African experience camp sites do not have perimeter fences

  • You will be visiting areas of dangerous animals and this needs to be taken seriously at all times.  Do not leave the designated area of the camp sites

  • Guides will walk you to your tents after supper.  Please adhere to all instructions issued by guides

  • All instructions given by guides must be adhered to at all times

  • Do not stand up in the vehicles

  • Do not place body parts out the side of the vehicles

  • No smoking allowed on the game drives

  • Please respect fellow tourists by keeping noise to a minimum

  • All concession and park rules must be adhered to at all times

  • Please do not litter ‘leave nothing but footprints’

  • Children policy (see below)

PAYMENT POLICY

  • 50% single supplement

  • No single supplements on groups of 5 or more guests in the same group

  • A deposit of 15% is payable within 5 days of confirmation of the booking.  Please note the reservation cannot be confirmed until the deposit has been received by Semunyeni safari

  • Balance is payable 60 days before arrival in Maun

  • The safaris are confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis

  • Confirmation is subject to campsite availability

  • There will be no administration fee payable on any postponement due to the current covid-19 travel ban

  • Any cancellation of the safari will carry the standard Semunyeni safari cancellation fee

  • Semunyeni safari reserves the right to cancel this special at any time

  • Any bookings confirmed under this special will qualify to the terms and conditions of this special

  • Foreign currencies will be accepted at the rate of exchange valid on the day payment is received, as per current bank selling rate of exchange.

  • All bank charges are at the cost of the guest/operator

  • For booking payments, we accept electronic fund transfers and cash in most major currencies

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • All cancellations must be given in writing

Cancellation policy per booking:

  • If cancelled up to 61 days prior to arrival, a 15% cancellation fee of the full booking value (inclusive of vat) will be charged

  • If cancelled 31 to 60 days prior to arrival, a 50% cancellation fee of the full booking value (inclusive of vat) will be charged

  • If cancelled 15 to 30 days prior to arrival, a 75% cancellation fee of the full booking value (inclusive of vat) will be charged

  • If cancelled 14 days or less prior to arrival, a 100% cancellation fee of the full booking value (inclusive of vat) will be charged

  • Guaranteed reservations will be held for the first night only, after which the accommodation will be released unless notified in writing

GENERAL BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • The laws of the Botswana shall in all respects, govern this rate agreement

  • By booking you agree to all the terms and conditions of Okavango passions (Pty) ltd t/a Semunyeni Safari and its owners, managers, contractors and agents

  • All rates are subject to change without prior notification – Semunyeni Safaris reserves the right to amend the rates should there be any exchange rate changes or an introduction of any taxes or levies

  • Only rack rates or promotional rates to the public may appear on the operator’s website or any other publication accessible to the public

  • STO rates, terms and conditions only apply to bona fide tour operators and travel agents

  • STO rates are strictly confidential and may not be divulged to anyone outside the tour operator/agent.

  • For booking payments, eft’s and cash in most major currencies is accepted

  • When settling extras at the lodge, we accept cash and all major credit cards excluding diners club and American express

  • All tourists will ensure they comply with the immigration and visa laws applicable to Botswana.  South African passport-holders do not require a visa for leisure travel to Botswana. A tourist visa is required for most foreign travellers. It is recommended to apply for your tourist visa prior to travel, alternatively, a visa can be obtained at the border/airport upon entry into Botswana. The lodge will assist by providing the necessary invitation letter to accompany visa applications. Details for the Botswana consulates in South Africa as follows:-

  • It is always recommended that guests travel with the appropriate travel and medical insurance

  • Botswana is a malaria area – kindly ensure you discuss and arrange the necessary prophylactics with your doctor or travel clinic

  • The use of Semunyeni Safaris and all of its facilities, activities and equipment, are entirely at the guest’s own risk

  • All guests fully indemnify Okavango passions (Pty) Ltd t/a Semunyeni Safari against any loss or damage of any property or any injury or death what-so-ever

  • In order to promote the true African safari experience, there are no fences around the camp site

  • By paying the deposit, all guests acknowledge they are fully aware of the terms and conditions and will adhere to them at all times

  • Semunyeni safari reserves to amend these terms and conditions at any time to comply with local and international legislation and industry factors and such amendments will become applicable upon the amendment.

CHILDREN’S POLICY

  • No children under the age of 12 unless the safari is booked by the same group

  • Children from the age of 6 are welcome on all family safari packages and booked by the same family

  • Children between the ages of 6 and 12 sharing the same tent as their parents will pay 50% of the full rate

  • Children between the age of 12 and 18 will pay 80% of the full rate

  • For safety reasons, children under the age of 18 have to share a tent with an adult

  • Children under the age of 18 have to be accompanied by an adult on all game drives
